Two Workshops on January 19th

Lots of people have been asking about my next workshop.  So I’ve decided to kick off the New Year with two on the same day, addressing distinct but complimentary topics.  I encourage you to attend both if possible, but if you can’t make it for the whole 4 hours there’s no need to despair!  I aim to make both of them fun and productive.  To register, email

1-3pm  Making the Invisible VisibleParallel Eiffel Tower

Learn the fundamentals of creating illusions out of thin air! This class will teach you how to clearly define the shape, weight and position of an invisible object. We will cover a range of illusions, from simple to complex, delve into the art of counterweight, make something from nothing. It will also teach you how to make a styrofoam prop appear to have the weight of the real thing.

3-5pm Character Walk Development

Propelling yourself from one point to another across a flat stage may seem like a simple thing – but that trajectory can be accomplished in a myriad of different ways. From a neutral walk, to a glide with no accent, to a Napoleonic march, finding the right walk is a crucial aspect of character development. This class will teach techniques for character walks, opening the actor’s imagination to wider possibilities and encouraging exploration of new ones.
